Uncover-Discover Lab Experience

Structures and Waves Lab

Learn how to build structures that can withstand different types of natural and man-made disasters, such as a tornado, hurricane, earthquake and explosion. Work together in teams to discover what materials are best suited for the various types of disasters.

This 3 hour experience includes:
  • 45 Minute interactive touch table lesson led by Memorial staff
  • 90 Minute tour of the newly enhanced Museum
  • 45 Minute Outdoor Symbolic Memorial interpretive talk led by a National Park Ranger

Available: Monday-Friday 9:30AM or 1:00PM
Ages: Middle School and High School Students
Maximum Per Group: 126 Students

Forensics Lab

Become a crime scene investigator and help solve the worst case of domestic terrorist attack on American soil. Work individually and in teams to collect and analyze evidence critical to the prosecution and ultimate conviction of those responsible for the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building on April 19, 1995.

This 3 hour experience includes:
  • 45 Minute interactive touch table lesson led by Memorial staff
  • 90 Minutes tour of the newly enhanced Museum
  • 45 Minute Outdoor Symbolic Memorial interpretive talk led by a National Park Ranger

This program provides Memorial visitors the opportunity to hear from a National Park Ranger regarding the symbolism of the components of the Outdoor Symbolic Memorial.
